Small is beautiful - and effective

The MOX system designed by X-Net is an arbitrarily scalable gateway specially optimized for use as a router, VPN and firewall appliances.

X-Net's MOX system is based on a Linux kernel that is run from the computer's main memory only. No hard disk is necessary. That's why the MOX system can be turned off at any time - which is most helpful in the event of a power failure where no errors with inconsistent data systems will occur. The strict separation of system and configuration files guarantees easy backup and allows operations to be safeguarded or resumed in disaster cases, in very simple ways.

First things first

X-Net offers fully pre-configured MOX systems including robust hardware. Because of the modest hardware requirements, setup and operating costs can be kept down. Due to the small size of the appliance no cooling fan is necessary: hence, the system is completely noiseless.

All modules can be updated automatically and remotely while operations are ongoing - another effect of the strict separation of modules and their config files. Large systems can also be expanded with little effort. A system restart will be needed for a kernel update only - which can also be effected remotely.

No license fees are due to X-Net from customers deploying their MOX system - the only exception being if MOX is used as an VPN server: depending on customers' hardware and the amount of VPN connections, more powerful hardware with higher processing potential may be needed.
