MOX4 is a preconfigured hardware system. All configurations, extensions, and updates are performed remotely. This allows the modules to be updated during operation with minimal effort.
Memory only Linux 4 (MOX4) is based on the Ubuntu operating system and, depending on the hardware used, has three Ethernet interfaces, a slot for a SIM card, and two mini PCI Express connectors. This allows MOX4 to provide fail-safe Internet connectivity or to be operated without an external modem.
The clear separation of system and configuration files makes it easy to back up the current settings and quickly restore them in the event of a disaster. Configuration changes must be explicitly saved. This prevents problems with inconsistent file systems and incorrect configuration changes.
