Backup solutions

Data loss can have several reasons, e.g. defect of the hardware, theft or virus attacks. But also deleting or overwriting of data by mistake can cause the loss of important data. The fitting backup strategy restores lost data.

Optimal data backup prevents against definite data loss. We consult companies in different backup strategies and use redundant solutions that are adapted to the requirements of our customers.

To reach an optimal backup strategy, the following questions have to be answered:

  • How and especially where are the copies stored?
  • Is an encoding of the data necessary?

 

The ideal backup version for reliable operation

Through the use of redundant backup strategies, the customer has a higher availability of the data. In the case of data loss, we care for a fast data recovery, so running operations are only interrupted by a minimum.

Depending on the requirements we use different backup strategies, even combinations are possible. The backup can either take place

  • on a second server at the location of the customer (internal backup) or
  • on a second location independent of the location of the customer (external backup) or
  • on one of our servers in a secure Austrian computing centre.


In the third case, data is broadcast over a secure connection.

Internal backup

An internal backup covers all strategies where the hardware is installed at the location of the customer. The backup is stored at the same physical place as the original data.

External backup

An external backup covers all strategies where the hardware is installed outside of the location of the company. The backup is stored at another physical place as the original data.

Computing centre

The data is stored in secure Austrian computing centres and therefore in an independent location. A secure data transfer as well as the encryption guarantee high data security.
